Food, value and service, since 1979.

Woods has never needed to become something else. This concept simply makes its character easier to discover: a warm independent restaurant, a serious kitchen and a family welcome in the heart of Bath.

The people behind Woods

A restaurant with a family name — and a family still inside it.

David Price and his French wife Claude opened Woods in 1979. Head Chef Stuart Ash joined in 1994; today son Gaston, daughter Gabby and son-in-law Joe remain part of the team. That continuity is the experience: professional without theatre, elegant without stiffness.
